Are you tired of always being not enough? Have you beaten your head against the wall, wondering why desired job offers are always flying past you? We have prepared five pieces of advice that will guide you through your interviewing process and help you impress during a job interview and receive a dream job. They are not about how to answer the questions like “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” blah blah, forget it. Before you start reading, there is one secret tip that can open any door in our life. Be confident! Even if you are worried, don’t know something, or make mistakes. People with such a vibe usually have a slight superiority and achieve their goals faster. Interested? Read our tips carefully because they are called upon to help you reach that level of confidence that you used to lack to achieve a dream job offer.

Research the company

One of the most common missteps inexperienced interviewees can take is coming to an interview unprepared. Let’s not play the hypocrite: almost everyone has had such a sin. However, the fact you are reading this article right now gives you odds and is likely to get you far away from this shame (who knows, though). You do need to get familiar with at least the critical aspects of the company you will be interviewed at. “What are those key aspects?” you may ask.
First and foremost, knowing the company’s values, culture, and mission. Secondly, don’t be lazy to google their recent achievements and updates. Finally, arm yourself with knowledge of their clients, products, or services. The HR’s eyes are bound to light up after hearing that from your mouth.

Create a solid first impression

You should put your best foot forward starting from the first minute of the appointment. There is a list of “in no way” things you should be aware of. So, firstly, in no way are you allowed to run late. Nobody likes waiting, neither does your interviewer. Show your respect by coming a bit earlier. In addition, you will have some time to queue up your thoughts and get used to the company’s environment. Secondly, appearance does matter. Watch your posture, gestures, and tidiness. No need to say that candidates who demonstrate confidence make a way better impression than those who, let’s say, just give the right answers. Finally, take picking your outfit thoughtfully. Inappropriate clothes may well create a solid first impression, however, at cross purposes with yours.

Prepare for the questions interviewers often ask

Although his information does not belong to the lost knowledge of ancient civilizations, really few candidates resort to it. The list of questions is basically the same and refers to previous experience and challenges, most significant accomplishments, strengths and weaknesses, future plans, and goals. At the same time, there has been a tendency among different companies to excel and ask weird questions like “What kind of dinosaur would you choose to be?” or “Would you rather fight with a hundred duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?”, and so on. The point of such questions is, firstly, to check your reaction. Moreover, they usually have some underlying psychological reasons and shed some light on the subtleties of the interviewee’s personality. It is not usually a problem to find even such odd questions online and get prepared. But in case you have faced something brand new, no panic and just wing it.

Prepare questions to ask them

Some candidates are misled by a belief that an interview is only about being asked questions while asking something back might create an arrogant image for the interviewee. Be ready for the small talk

If you are not a fan of small talk, it is time to do one-eighty. Besides being a traditional sign of friendliness and politeness, this act comprises a more significant aspect of yours. This is your communicative skill. Even if you are being interviewed for a position where being a social butterfly is not a must, don’t neglect it. Serious companies value teamwork and strive to build up relationships of trust inside their teams. They realize that these factors play a crucial role in their company’s success. That’s why a person who does not share such values or is reluctant to participate in basic acts of interaction has meager chances of being taken on.
