Quality Control Technician

Job Summary We are seeking a diligent and detail‑oriented QC (Quality Control) Technician to join our team. The QC Technician will be responsible for ensuring compliance with established quality standards and performing various quality control tests and inspections on products and materials. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining high‑quality standards in a production environment. Essential Job Functions Monitor product formulations during ingredients and filling preparation, document lot information for traceability of ingredients and raw materials during processing, and record this on the Daily Product Mixing Batch Checking report. Monitor forming processing, product identity, weights, quality of product during the forming process, weight control, line condition, etc. Monitor internal temperature of product off the steamer and document it on the CCP 1B Cooking Log. Ensure corrective actions are taken when deviations occur. Perform sensory evaluation of product off the steamer. Monitor and document product temperature off the Spiral freezer, product quality (shape, damaged, broken, deformed), weights, organoleptic properties of finished product, case counts, lot information, labeling, code dates, etc. Maintain and organize filing system for QA evaluation data. Conduct environmental and allergen swabbing. Monitor and review recorded line QC and production paperwork for accuracy and completion. Check metal detector, X‑ray machine, weight checker before packaging starts. Perform routine random checks on finished product weight, temperature, and packaging date codes/lots during production at make‑up lines and Re‑packing. Inspect metal detector/X‑ray rejected products for foreign objects and record findings. Monitor and audit CCP documentation, such as reviewing labeling, production, and performing random verification on metal detector/X‑ray machine during production. Audit employee compliance to GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs. Inspect incoming perishable ingredients. Interact with production to troubleshoot quality issues. Conduct investigations into non‑conforming materials and products. Perform other duties as required or directed by QA Manager. Food Safety Responsibilities All employees must immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor. Monitor and enforce cGMPs. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre‑requisite programs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months experience in QC or QA. Strong knowledge of quality control best practices, test procedures, and applicable standards and regulations. Proficiency in using various quality control tools and equipment. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Computer literacy and proficiency. Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally lift 35–50 lbs. Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Ability to walk through production areas. Exposure to temperature change. Wear proper footwear. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
