Software Test Engineering Manager This role is onsite, primarily based at an HPE office. Overview Leads validation and quality engineering for cloud-native networking solutions, focusing on CUPS and APM orchestration. Drives technical execution, ensures scalable, high‑quality system delivery, and manages test strategy, automation, and regression cycles. Enhances Agile team effectiveness and collaborates with engineering and product teams to continuously improve processes, tools, and quality outcomes. Responsibilities Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors designing and developing new products, enhancements, and updates for systems software. Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring resources are allocated and goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met. Engage with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives to communicate program status, elevate issues, and guide strategic decision‑making. Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions. Provide people‑care management for direct reports: hiring, performance planning, coaching, career development, and organization‑wide performance standards. Manage high‑end operational/tactical activities of staff and adapt to strategic or tactical focus as needed. Qualifications First‑level university degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred. Typically 10+ years of related work experience, including 5+ years of people‑management experience. Advanced leadership, coaching, team‑building, conflict resolution, and management skills. Advanced project management skills – time and risk management, resource prioritization, project structuring. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills; advanced multi‑tasking. Experience managing human capital across geographies, driving workforce development. Superior business acumen, technical knowledge across multiple business units, and extensive knowledge of applications and technologies. Strong relationship‑management skills and ability to partner and consult. Proficiency in English and local language; mastery in written, verbal, and presentation communication. Education and Experience First level university degree or equivalent experience required; advanced university degree preferred. Typically 10 or more years of related work experience, including 5 or more years of people‑management experience.
