Medical Transcriptionist Team LeaderLabcorp is seeking a Medical Transcriptionist Team Leader to join our team in Shelton, CT.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:30am-5pm) one Saturday a monthJob ResponsibilitiesAssist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the departmentHelp lead the team in their daily processes and proceduresAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testingEncourage process improvements and best practicesPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResolve any production errors as requested by managementResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsResponsible for enforcing and managing policies and proceduresPerform administrative duties as neededMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent5 years or more of medical transcriptionist experiencePreferred Qualifications2 years or more transcriptionist experience in Pathology1 year or more supervising or leading a teamAdditional Job StandardsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresStrong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office programsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitaskAbility to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around timesStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
