With continued growth our operation is seeking a full-time Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO).Position Summary: Conduct safety orientation, supervise project safety, incident investigation, and ensure compliance with company safety program standardsSite Safety Health Officer Responsibilities:Attend pre-work meetings and produce job-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) in accordance with company's Safety & Health ProgramWork as member of the project team to ensure implementation and continuous monitoring and enforcement of the provisions of the project APP and AHAsEnsure all activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable OSHA requirements and regulations, and other applicable regulationsConduct daily tailgate safety briefingsConduct regular site inspections, recording all violations and noting what remediation needs to occur to keep the project moving safelyPrepare comprehensive reports of safety inspections and complete all safety related documentation and paperworkCoordinate response to on-site emergencies, and interface with off-site and on-site emergency response entitiesPerform other duties as assignedSite Safety Health Officer Qualifications:5+ years experience as a heavy construction SSHO, marine construction preferredFirst Aid & CPR CertifiedEM 385-1-1 40-hour Certified Site Safety & Health CourseOSHA 30-hour Construction Safety CertificationExperience on USACE Lock and Dam infrastructure projectsMust have a valid U.S. driver's license, pass screening, and background checkJob Type: Full-timeBase Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per yearBenefitsHealth Insurance (90% employee, 70% dependent)Bonus up to +20% of salary401(k) + 6% matchPer diemTravel and lodging
