Job Description
Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Cardiology department. This position involves providing exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations throughout various cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care while ensuring safety and comfort during cardiovascular procedures.
- Provide holistic support to address the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical and procedural environment.
- Collaborate with physicians, offering continuous updates and timely communication regarding patient status during all phases of procedures.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning, calibrated, and ready for use.
- Manage supplies and inventory, ensuring the Cath Lab team has all necessary materials for efficient workflow.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and rapid response to changes.
- Continuously assess and document patient conditions while in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining thorough and precise records.
- Participate in quality initiatives and performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required at the time of hire.
- Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care environment required.
- Compliance with additional health screenings and immunizations as required.
- Participation in ongoing education and training as needed to maintain certifications and enhance skills.
