Senior Accountant Consultant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a property management organization to fill a Senior Accountant Consultant position in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers a hybrid schedule and will be on a consulting basis for approximately 5-6 months. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with budget-to-actual reporting, variance analysis, and property management accounting. Apply today for immediate consideration!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare budget-to-actual reporting and perform variance analysis for a portfolio of properties.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Analyze operating results and investigate variances, providing explanations and recommendations.
- Support consolidated audits and property-level financial statement audits.
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting schedules.
- Partner with property management and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and audit requests as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within property management or real estate.
- Prior audit support experience, including exposure to financial statement audits.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs; financial modeling experience is a plus.
- Experience using Yardi software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; hybrid schedule with a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the Brooklyn, NY office.
