Phlebotomist OpportunityBCDI is adding a full-time Phlebotomist for our growing team! Who is our ideal candidate? Someone who wants to be challenged. Our phlebotomist conducts phlebotomy on both pediatric and adult patients and will staff our outreach clinics.The Phlebotomist duties include but are not limited to the following:Performs routine phlebotomy procedures according to our established procedures and policies.Performs waived laboratory tests according to policies and procedures.Performs Quality Control as directed by the technical staff.Collects, receives, identifies, and labels specimens following quality assurance and safety policies.Collects and prepares research specimens for testing.Organizes and prioritizes work for timely completion.Performs proficiency testing to demonstrate and maintain skills.Accurately bills patient for laboratory draw and other services provided on day of service.Cleans and maintains work areas.Travels to outreach clinics as needed to perform phlebotomy and process specimens accordingly for testing.Adheres to OSHA and any other regulatory policies and procedures.Maintains strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and records.Some of the many reasons we differ from other employers …. no corporate bureaucracy here!
