Job Title Faculty, Nursing – Assistant/Associate Professor level Department Instruction, College of Nursing Location Atlanta, GA (Additional locations possible) Schedule 40 hours per week Responsibilities Teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Science (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. Carry out research, scholarship, and service duties. Maintain an on‑campus presence; the appointment is not virtual. May assume additional responsibilities in other programs as needed. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field from an accredited university or college. Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia. Authorization to practice as a nurse practitioner in Georgia. Certification as a nurse practitioner with clinical experience in one or more specialized population foci, including but not limited to family, adult‑gerontology, or psychiatric‑mental health practice. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Philosophy commensurate with Mercer University’s mission and values. Preferred Qualifications FNP, AGPCNP, or AGACNP certification. Prior full‑time faculty experience. Experience teaching at the graduate level. Experience mentoring DNP students in scholarly projects. Evidence of scholarly productivity in the area of expertise.
