Position Commercial Tire Technician Location Blissfield Tire Store Overview Since 1948, Shrader has been providing innovative solutions for the transportation industry. As a fleet specialist, the company focuses on commercial truck tire and lubricant services. The Commercial Tire Technician role is a key member of the team, responsible for maintaining transportation safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Directly responsible for all tire-related services throughout the fleet, including mounting, installation, inventory, preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation Provide Emergency Roadside Service (ERS) during business hours, performing flat tire repairs or replacement Offer night service 24/7, performing roadside flat tire repairs or replacement Ensure preventative maintenance best practices, including yard checks, visual inspections, tread depth checks, air pressure checks, identifying abuse and irregular wear patterns, and all related documentation Follow proper guidelines for the mounting and dismounting of tires What You Will Do Mount, install, maintain, and repair commercial truck tires Conduct visual inspections and maintain documentation Respond to roadside emergencies and maintenance needs Compensation Competitive base wage starting at $18/hr Opportunity to earn monthly productivity bonus On-call bonus paid up to 50% of the service call Paid weekly Benefits 401(k) with company contribution and rollover opportunity Paid time off after 90 days and seven paid holidays a year Medical, Prescription, Vision, and Dental Insurance Company paid Short Term Disability Employee Assistance Program HSA Company Contribution Company paid Life Insurance Wondr Health weight loss program Healthcare Bluebook to shop for affordable care in your area Long Term Disability option Voluntary Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity Company Uniforms and PPE Gear provided Employee Discount Program for travel, entertainment, hotels and more Requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment; must lift up to 50 pounds repetitively, and be able to lift, twist, push/pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, able to drive a commercial pickup truck up to F250/F350 Available for on-call and after-hour service rotation; own reliable transportation Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with overtime as needed; mandatory on-call rotation 24/7 per business needs (usually a set schedule) Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
