About Us

We are a mid-sized, rapidly growing manufacturer of premium weatherproof enclosures for electrical and electronic equipment. As we scale our operations, we are seeking a hands-on, dual-role Manufacturing Engineer / Production Manager to optimize our production facility in Boca Raton, Florida.

Position Overview

In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering design and floor execution. You will establish modern manufacturing practices, build our quality control framework, and directly prepare our facility for ISO 9001 certification in 2027. This position requires a mix of technical engineering expertise and strong floor management leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Establish, standardize, and scale day-to-day manufacturing workflows to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Documentation: Develop, write, and maintain detailed visual work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assembly technicians.
• Quality Control: Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive quality control program to ensure enclosures meet strict weatherproof standards.
• ISO 9001 Readiness: Lead the operational preparation, documentation, and auditing processes to achieve ISO 9001 certification by 2027.
• Production Management: Supervise shop floor operations, manage production schedules, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Support CNC machining, laser cutting, andelectro-mechanical assembly teams to resolve production bottlenecks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent intensive manufacturing work experience.
• Experience: Proven track record in a manufacturing environment, ideally combining floor management and manufacturing engineering duties.
• Technical Expertise: Strong familiarity with CNC operation, precision laser cutting, electro-mechanical assembly, and soldering techniques.
• ERP system experience is required , including familiarity with production planning, inventory, work orders, scheduling, and manufacturing data.
• CNC/CAM experience is a plus
• SolidWorks experience is a plus
• ISO Standards : Direct experience with, or strong working knowledge of, ISO 9001 implementation and compliance.
• Enclosure Knowledge : Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, gasket sealing, or NEMA/IP weatherproof ratings is highly desirable.
• Leadership : Excellent communication skills with the ability to train technicians and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus

Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday
