Shop Inspector - 1st Shift (Onsite)

What You Will Do Work independently or under limited supervision to provide aircraft engine maintenance/repair and quick-turn engine maintenance in the Dallas-based shop. Provide engine troubleshooting, engine repairs, module removal and replacement, and line maintenance (including LRU removal and replacement). Inspect and return to service maintenance activities and develop positive relationships with internal and external customers. Perform borescope inspections of commercial aircraft engines and provide blade blending as appropriate. Create detailed reports of inspections and findings. Perform maintenance on Pratt & Whitney commercial engines, including preliminary, in-process, final, and hidden-damage inspections; inspect incoming parts/consumables/shelf-life items/tools and record results. Approve articles for return to service via FAA Form 8130-3 after confirming airworthiness and completing required maintenance records. May serve as a Job Lead for engines in the LMS shop, setting cadence for the team and ensuring tasks are completed on time and on budget. Follow Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual procedures and other approved technical data. Assist the team to improve turnaround time and response through collaboration and CORE operating system and continuous improvement processes. Report to the Site Operations Leader and perform other duties as delegated by management. Qualifications You Must Have High School diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Holder of a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Powerplant license. Qualifications We Prefer 3+ years of related experience in inspection and repair of commercial aircraft engines. Proficiency with borescope and boreblend equipment; ability to perform borescope inspections on turbine engines. Ability to create detailed inspection reports. Strong communication with exceptional people skills; collaborative team player. Analytical problem-solving approach and highly motivated self-starter.
