Job Title: Traveling RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Labor Experience Description: This position is for a Traveling RN in the Labor and Delivery specialty. The role requires a commitment of 13 weeks. Shifts will be during the night hours. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. An active RN license is required. Certifications in BLS, NRP, and STABLE are also necessary. The ideal candidate should possess labor experience. The unit features 25 LDRP rooms and 4 triage rooms. On the night shift, staffing typically includes a charge nurse, triage nurse, 4-5 labor nurses, 2-3 postpartum nurses, a ward clerk, a C.N.A., and an OB Tech. Patient ratios are 1:1-2 for labor and 3-4 couplets for postpartum. The electronic medical record systems used are CPN and Meditech. Additional skills that are preferred include: AWHONN Intermediate, RNC-EFM certification, postpartum lactation/breastfeeding assistance, and experience circulating in the OR for C-section scenarios. Candidates who are flexible, adaptable, and enjoy being part of a team will thrive in this environment. Integrity and a sense of fun are also valuable traits for this role. Floating to other areas is not required. The organization provides scrubs for staff. There are no weekend or on-call expectations. This position has been created to fill a vacant role.
