About the Position

The unit has 20 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1 for critical care patients. There is a unit secretary available on days and nights, with occasional tech assistance. The unit is equipped with GE monitors, Alaris pumps, and Puritan Bennet ventilators. Documentation is done using the Meditech system. The role requires working 36 hours per week, including 3 weekend shifts out of 4 weeks. Contract labor staff may float before core staff. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage arterial lines and venous/arterial sheaths and will be familiar with cardiovascular and vasopressor drips and ventilated patients. Procedures performed on the unit include bedside central line placement and compliance with a massive transfusion protocol. The dress code requires black scrubs. The facility focuses on using technology to reduce time spent in electronic health records, allowing more time for patient care.
