Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its Regulatory Law team on a 12-month secondment. This role will focus on European payments regulation, digital assets and payment products, and digital asset regulatory frameworks, partnering with product and business teams to support product development, launches, and growth across multiple jurisdictions.
What You'll Do
- Advise product, business, and legal teams on digital assests and payment products.
- Provide regulatory guidance on product design, settlement models, and go-to-market strategy.
- Lead multi-jurisdictional legal and regulatory analyses.
- Assess licensing, registration, and regulatory requirements for payment services and digital asset activities.
- Support regulatory readiness and manage external counsel engagements.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience at a leading law firm, financial institution, fintech, payments company, or regulator.
- Strong expertise in European payments regulation, including PSD2, MiCA, and cross-border payment products.
- Experience advising on digital assets, stablecoins, or related payment services.
- A JD or equivalent law degree and an active license to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction. xhyhwjd
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
