As a Simulator Technician, you will help keep advanced flight simulation systems safe, reliable, and ready for training operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple simulators and associated technical equipment in a hands-on environment. The role combines electronics, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and technical support while offering opportunities to develop specialized simulation expertise. You will work closely with technical teams and customers to diagnose issues, complete maintenance activities, and maintain simulator readiness. Your responsibilities will also include qualification testing, basic alignment activities, hardware modifications, and simulator refurbishment projects. This position is well suited to a technically curious professional who enjoys solving problems, learning new systems, and working in a multidisciplinary environment. Accountabilities:

• Perform routine technical and preventive maintenance activities on flight simulators and associated simulator systems to maintain operational readiness.
• Assist with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting technical issues affecting simulators and related systems using appropriate technical procedures and test equipment.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks, basic visual alignments, and automated Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures on designated simulators.
• Use the maintenance management system to accurately record, document, and track maintenance activities, repairs, testing, and related work.
• Support simulator refurbishment initiatives, hardware modifications, equipment testing, and validation activities.
• Assist with receiving parts, coordinating repairs, conducting testing and validation, and supporting other logistics activities required to maintain simulator availability.
• Learn and follow applicable Quality Management System requirements and established technical and maintenance procedures.
• Provide responsive technical and operational support to customers, addressing their needs in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain simulator areas through appropriate housekeeping activities and ensure equipment and workspaces remain clean and ready for use.
• Complete assigned technical training and development activities while progressively building knowledge across simulator systems and technical operations.
• Provide administrative and operational assistance to the Technical Services team and perform additional technical duties as required.

Requirements

• Associate degree or other two-year technical degree in a relevant technical discipline, or four years of experience in electronics, avionics, or a related technical field; 0–2 years of relevant technical experience is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, system prints, schematics, and related documentation.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
• Working knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory, along with practical understanding of electronic systems.
• Computer literacy, including familiarity with PC hardware, software, computer system architecture, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repair techniques.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
• Experience in simulation, aviation, training, electronics, or other technical equipment environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in equipment maintenance and testing environments.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and adjust to changing shift requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and exchange technical information clearly with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to regularly climb or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; repeatedly perform hand, wrist, and finger movements; communicate continuously with others; and move or adjust objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided where applicable.
