Our staff members are proud to live and work in this area, and are committed to providing quality healthcare to our community.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsEducation: Graduate of an Advanced Level Respiratory Therapist Educational Program or two (2) year Respiratory college.Experience: Newly graduated with no previous experience but with 1,000 clinical hours in a hospital setting.Licensure, Certification, Registration:CRT certification by N.B.R.C. Required for this position to meet State Statute for Respiratory Care PractitionersCurrent CT state licensure as Respiratory Care PractitionerCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationACLS, within 6 months of hireCurrent PALS or STABLE Certification and NRP certification preferredKnowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Demonstrated knowledge to perform pulmonary function testing. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers. Ability to read and understand oral and written material and effectively communicate technical or complex information. Demonstrates critical thinking and advanced decision making skills. Must be organized, flexible and a team player. Good time management skills. Ability to work in a stressful environment.
