Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a minimum of 3 years of experience and Epic charting proficiency for a 13-week assignment.

Job Details

• Work in a Level 2 Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Radiology setting,
• Treat patients with AMI, STEMI, NSTEMI, EP devices, heart arrhythmias, PAD, and PVD,
• Perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, EP device changeouts/upgrades, ICD and pacer procedures, and vascular angiograms,
• Utilize specialized equipment including Impella, IABP, temporary pacer, Shockwave, DFR, IVUS, and FFR,
• Choose between 4x9-hour shifts (36 hrs/week) or 5x8-hour shifts (40 hrs/week), Monday through Friday,
• Shifts begin at 7:00am or 7:45am,
• Call required one night per week and every 4th weekend,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• CCI RCIS certification preferred,
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required,
• Pre/Post Op experience required,
• Epic charting experience required,
• Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred,
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred,
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program,
• Proficiency in vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), sheath removal/monitoring, angioplasty, and cardiac cath lab scrub procedures preferred,
• Experience with EP procedures including AICD insertion/programming and pacemaker insertion preferred,
• Experience with Impella insertion, cardioversion, and Swan-Ganz monitoring preferred,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing procedures, ACT monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, and management of dysrhythmias,
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, and reversal agents,
• Provide central line and PICC line care, IV therapy, and blood product administration,
• Complete mandatory Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon signing contract, with candidates outside driving distance receiving a mailed fingerprinting packet,
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and no coworker references accepted,
• Former facility employees eligible for consideration after 6+ months away, current employees ineligible,
• RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate,
