Food Truck & Mobile Catering Team Member (Seasonal / Part-Time)
Barrels & Boards is seeking motivated and experienced team members to join our Food Truck and Mobile Catering team for the upcoming season. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and enjoy working a variety of eventsfrom large-scale festivals to private catered functions.
Team members will be responsible for supporting all aspects of food truck operations, including food preparation, cooking, service, and maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency consistent with the Barrels & Boards brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating in a high-volume environment
- Execute service efficiently during busy events and peak periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck and workstations
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service at public and private events
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with setup and breakdown of events as needed
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience required
- Culinary experience or kitchen training preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license required
- Flexible schedule with open availability preferred
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight
Work Environment
This position operates in a mobile kitchen environment with varying conditions, including outdoor events, festivals, and private functions. Team members should be comfortable working in tight spaces, high temperatures, and dynamic settings.
