Senior Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager/Leader will spearhead the Solaris Evergreening project, overseeing the transition of Solaris-impacted application databases to supported infrastructure and upgrading Oracle database software where applicable. This time-sensitive and high-priority initiative focuses on decommissioning outdated Solaris infrastructure to eliminate security and financial risks, contributing to broader portfolio modernization. The role demands strong leadership, strategic communication, and change management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure successful project delivery within FY26/27 operating plan goals. Responsibilities:

• Provide business analysis expertise including data analytics, briefing materials, and dashboards for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead and foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
• Anticipate project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations to address potential issues.
• Facilitate client meetings and workshops to interpret business needs into technical requirements.
• Manage project plans, status reports, and privacy/security deliverables.
• Guide and lead technical teams using Agile methodologies and project management principles.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with all project participants and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 10+ years of project management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques.
• Proven facilitation skills for client meetings and workshops.
• Strong technical and business aptitude with experience leading technical teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience managing privacy and security deliverables.
• Proficiency with Agile development concepts and methodologies.
• Advanced skills in Office365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Visio, and Planview.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Previous government experience.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, and validation.
• Strong research skills for industry analysis and solution improvement recommendations.
• Experience producing data analytics and executive-level briefing materials.

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and deliver within extremely tight deadlines.
• Strong political acuity to work strategically with government stakeholders and manage sensitive situations.
• Ability to engage in emotionally intelligent communication, including handling tough conversations calmly and impartially.

Scheduling:

• Position is remote, with work location anywhere in Ontario.
• Work schedule aligned with project timelines and deliverables within FY26/27 operating plan.
