The University of Texas - MD Anderson Cancer Center's Diagnostic Imaging department is one of the most advanced imaging centers in the world, dedicated solely to cancer care. DI provides:

• Comprehensive imaging services including CT, MRI, PET/CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine.
• Specialized oncology-focused imaging utilizing state-of-the-art technology for detection, staging, treatment planning, and monitoring.
• A collaborative, multidisciplinary model involving radiologists, nurses, technologists, and oncology teams.
• High-volume, high-acuity patient care, offering nurses exposure to complex oncologic cases.
• Strong emphasis on patient experience, ensuring comfort, communication, and high-quality care throughout the imaging process.

The Outpatient Clinical Nurse at our Northwest Houston Diagnostic Imaging Center plays a vital role in patient preparation, education, safety, procedural support, contrast management, reaction response, throughput coordination, and high-level patient interaction. The Outpatient Clinical Nurse coordinates and delivers patient-centered, evidence-based care across the continuum in Diagnostic Imaging. This role works as part of an inter-professional team, advocates for patients and families, and supports staff development to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift / hours: Monday - Friday / 8:30am - 5pm / Weekend rotation: Saturday and Sunday / 10am - 6:30pm. This role will also provide weekend coverage of both Northwest Houston and the Woodlands locations.

Education

• Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Nursing.

Licenses and Certifications

• Required: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license. Upon Hire and

Other Requirements

All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.
