The Greer Group has an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator in the Canton, NC area. This is a great opportunity for reliable candidates looking for steady hours, competitive pay, and long-term employment potential in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: Starting at $19.50/hour (may be higher based on experience)

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Summary:

The Material Handler will be responsible for safely moving, staging, and supplying materials throughout the production facility. This role requires prior forklift experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, and transport materials to and from production and storage areas.
• Supply production lines with necessary materials in a timely manner.
• Organize and maintain inventory and warehouse areas.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and staging finished products.
• Perform basic inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Previous forklift experience required.
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
