Emergency Department RN Manager

The Emergency Department RN Manager is responsible for supervising patient care, nursing staff, and operations within the Emergency Department. This role requires collaboration with the Director of Patient Care Services to support and oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of patient care and efficient departmental functioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage nursing staff while ensuring optimal patient care.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Monitor and evaluate departmental performance and make necessary adjustments for improvement.
• Provide leadership and support in a high-pressure environment, taking bedside shifts as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
• Support staff development and training initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Prior experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
• Current RN license in Colorado or a compact state RN license.
• Possession of required general certifications (NRP, PALS, BLS/BCLS, ACLS) and nursing certifications (TNCC).

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for a Monday to Friday day shift with rotating weekend coverage and holiday responsibilities.
