Job Summary We’re seeking a highly dependable and professional Armed Security Officer - Transit to protect the RTD transit system across the Denver metro area. In this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding passengers, employees, and property throughout bus routes, light rail stations, and major transit hubs. Location Denver, CO Pay $25.00 an hour Schedule Flexible schedule necessary Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following: 2 years of law enforcement experience 1 year of active‑duty military service 1 year of corrections experience 7 years of unarmed security experience 3 years of armed security experience Minimum of 60 college credit hours This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with security or law enforcement backgrounds who are looking to advance their skills in a dynamic, public-facing environment. Responsibilities Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. Applicant will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Applicant will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security/safety training programs.
