Quality TechnicianIf you can focus for a long period of time, have a keen eye for detail, are analytical, resourceful, a collaborative problem-solver, and an excellent communicator, and are looking for an opportunity to grow, the role of Quality Technician might be for you. You will perform inspections and prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and test data. You will also ensure ISO documentation and compliance, engage in customer support and the corrective action process, identify and drive quality improvement opportunities, and maintain calibration of testing and measurement equipment. Fisher Barton is constantly adding new technologies to improve productivity, quality, and safety.At Level 3, You will:Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethicsAssist production associates in the measurement of product and sample retentionPerform inspection and testing activities relating to the manufactured productUsing CMM for quality inspections and programmingPerform part measurement and layout activities through full documentation and reporting resultsRead and interpret blueprints using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing specificationsSupport and/or recording test dataPerform shop floor audits to assure product, process, and system conformanceEnsure gages and measuring equipment are calibratedMaintain our quality lab and equipmentDevelop, maintain, and submit accurate and reliable information and documentationAssure compliance to the Fisher Barton Quality Management System (QMS), process, customer and product standards and specificationsAssist production associates in measuring product, first off's, last off's, and sample retentionManage APQP (In particular) PPAP documentation and ensure its accuracy and completionReview control plans and ensuring they are correct, accurate, updated and stored appropriatelyParticipate in non-conforming materials NCM processDetermine root cause to quality problemsParticipate in Continuous Improvement projectEducation and experience qualification:High School Diploma or GED and 2 years' experience as a quality technician in manufacturing; or successful performance as a Fisher Barton Quality Technician 2 team memberAre proficient in all Quality Technician 3 skills, as defined on the site Training MatrixWorking knowledge of statistical quality tools (trend charts, pareto diagrams, SPC, histograms, Cpk/Ppk, etc.)Able to read and interpret blueprints, with working knowledge of GD&TAble to perform standardized quality checks using measurement tools and equipment (Gages, Calipers, CMM etc.)Able to maintain calibrated test equipmentAble to prepare test data and document resultsAble to develop measurement strategiesExperience with APQP processes and PPAP Report Development, strong knowledge programming softwareExperience identifying areas for quality improvementProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with ISO, ITAR or TS quality standards.Physical | Visual Demands:Able to occasionally lift up, push/pull up to 25 poundsSit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch or crawl, reach with hands and armsClose vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)Able to identify and distinguish colorsAble to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given pointThree-dimensional vision (able to judge distances and spatial relationships)Able to adjust focus (can adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work Environment:Manufacturing: Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of environmental conditions.Fisher Barton provides our team members with safety footwear and prescription safety eye glass benefits.Work Location: 560 Bluemound Rd Waukesha WI 53188Shift: 1st shift - 6:00AM - 2:00PMBenefits Package:Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceCompany Paid Short & Long-Term Disability InsuranceCompany Paid Employee and Dependent Life InsuranceEmployee, Spouse and Child Life InsuranceCritical Illness InsurancePrescription Drug Benefits401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Employer Match96 hours (12 days) Paid Time Off to start10 Paid Holidays per yearHealth Savings Plans (HSA, FSA and Dependent Flexible Spending Accounts)Eligibility to participate in the ONE Fisher Barton Quarterly Bonus PlanTuition AssistanceWellness ProgramsApprenticeship ProgramsOff-Site Team Building EventsOn-Site Cookouts and CelebrationsBirthday and Anniversary RecognitionHoliday partiesAnd more!
