Fiber Technician

GridSource is seeking dependable, motivated Fiber Technicians to join our team in the Portland, Oregon area. Minimal telecom experience is preferred-we provide the training you need to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Perform residential fiber-optic installations.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Assist other technical personnel with assigned duties as needed.
• Provide customers with a professional, courteous, and positive experience.
• Arrive on time and be dependable for scheduled assignments and on-call work.
• Ask appropriate questions to clarify instructions and resolve customer or technical issues efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

• A reliable truck, van, or SUV capable of transporting tools, equipment, and a 28-foot ladder. A ladder rack is preferred.
• Your own standard telecommunications tools, including drills and hand tools.
• An Android smartphone
• Additional equipment may be required by local management.
• Ability to safely work at heights of up to 25 feet .
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 80 pounds .
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours, including mandatory overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must maintain a clean driving record.
