Department Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is the employer and is responsible for all employment matters. The franchisee uses McDonald’s logos and food products under license, but is separate from McDonald’s USA, which has no role in employment decisions. Job Responsibilities Managers lead shifts on a weekly basis, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, friendly service. Managers may also lead specific departments and oversee assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety and Inventory Management. Their responsibilities include setting goals, delegating tasks, monitoring team performance, and reporting results. As a Guest Service Department Manager, your duties include ensuring crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, executing sales promotions, training service staff, and maintaining organization of the Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas. As a Kitchen Department Manager, responsibilities involve delivering high-quality, fast food, ensuring food safety, controlling food costs, and training kitchen staff on production procedures, including new menu items. As a People Department Manager, you will hire qualified crew, train them, schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals, and ensure crew have a positive start, are recognized, and remain motivated. Qualifications Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within restaurant, retail or hospitality environments. Candidates should be positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy a fast‑paced environment. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
