Rightstone is looking for a General Laborer – Groundskeeping (Cemetery Operations) in Fort Wayne, IN. The pay rate is $16.85/hr.for a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 2-month summer contract.

In this role, you will be a key person responsible for supporting the daily operations, landscaping upkeep, and service preparations for a premier, respectful cemetery facility. You will handle everything from pristine grounds maintenance to setting up funeral service areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and comforting environment for visiting families. This is an ideal position for a reliable, outdoor-oriented professional who takes pride in manual work andmaintainshigh standardsof compassion and professionalism.

WhatYou’llDo

• Perform general grounds keeping and landscaping maintenance, including debris removal, trimming, and facility upkeep.
• Assistin the meticulous setup and breakdown of burial plots and funeral service areas ahead of family arrivals.
• Safely and efficientlyoperatebasic commercial landscaping equipment and manual maintenance tools.
• Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of cemetery grounds, mausoleums, and common visitor areas.
• Support the onsite operations team by loading, unloading, and staging maintenance materials and equipment.
• Strictly follow all safety procedures while opening, closing, and securing cemetery facilities daily.

Qualifications

• Previousexperience in groundskeeping, professional landscaping, or general outdoor maintenance is highly preferred.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy materials while working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Absolute dependability, punctuality, anda strongwork ethic tomaintaina consistent 40-hour weekly schedule.
• A high levelof maturity, professionalism, and sensitivity toward visiting families and grieving guests.
• A valid Driver’s License is preferred for navigating and operating equipment safely across the property.
• A candidate who takes pride in creating a manicured, presentable environment for a leading community service provider.

This is a temporary/contract position. While benefits (Health, 401k, PTO) are not provided during the contract period,
