Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year direct Med/Surg
• Current BCLS/BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• IV starts and awareness of peripheral/PICC/central lines
• Familiarity with seizure management
• Experience with rapid response/code teams and vasoactive/cardiac drips (no titration)
• EMR experience with EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for adult patients with neurological conditions.
• Monitor patient vitals and neurological status, interpreting telemetry data as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and contribute to care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and recovery.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including patient codes and seizures.

Compliance / Notes:

• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Floating required to other Med/Surg/Tele areas as needed.
• Pre-start testing and EKG testing required within specified timeframe after booking.
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• RTO policies must be confirmed with the Account Manager prior to submission.
• NC or compact license pending acceptable for submission.
