  • Conduct thorough assessments and, when necessary, diagnostics to evaluate each patient's mental health status using industry-standard tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect an understanding of cultural diversity and the unique needs of each patient, continually evaluating the effectiveness of interventions.

  • Maintain accurate, detailed treatment records in compliance with regulatory guidelines, ensuring documentation is updated timely and reflects current patient progress.

  • Collaborate with patients and their families to set meaningful treatment goals, regularly adjust plans based on ongoing assessments, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the agreed-upon strategies.

  • Monitor patient safety and symptom management proactively, leveraging clinical judgment to pivot treatment plans as needed.

  • Facilitate referrals to additional resources and coordinate care among various health service providers, fostering a network of support for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals and families coping with the emotional and psychological challenges associated with cancer diagnoses. This role requires empathy, active listening, and tailored therapeutic approaches designed to empower patients and their loved ones in navigating their health journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

  • Current State License as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

Compensation and Benefits\n
