Our client is a hospital providing care for small animal patients and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Durham, North Carolina. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, developing treatment plans, performing preventative and wellness care, educating clients on healthcare recommendations, and collaborating closely with a skilled support team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Clinical exposure includes wellness and prevention, diagnostics, advanced care, behavior therapy, cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, surgery, and dentistry. Surgical procedures include spay and neuter surgeries, soft tissue surgery, mass removals, orthopedic surgery, and dental surgery. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is an AAHA-accredited small animal practice dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care through wellness and prevention, testing and diagnostics, advanced care, and surgical services. Additional services include behavior therapy, cardiology, OFA certification evaluations, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, anesthesia, spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, mass removals, orthopedic surgery, and dental surgery. The practice emphasizes evidence-based medicine and maintains patient care protocols that meet rigorous national accreditation standards. Through access to specialty consultations and educational resources, veterinarians are supported in managing complex cases while continuing to develop their clinical expertise. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and the practice is closed on weekends.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
