Base Pay $21.80 - $23.73 / Hour Job Category Support Employee Type FT Non-Exempt Manage Others No Contact information Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Description POSITION CONCEPT: The Building Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and good repair of CWI's buildings, building's systems and grounds. Schedule: Monday -Friday 3:15pm-12:15am PAY RATE: $21.80 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The Building Assistant will: 1. Actively cooperate with the President/CEO and other staff members in a joint endeavor in satisfactorily achieving the goals of CWI. 2. Be responsible for cleaning agency buildings, including but not limited to, cleaning and polishing floors, windows, carpets, furniture, lavatories, etc. 3. Be responsible for trash and garbage removal. 4. Maintain the upkeep and general outer appearance of the grounds, including, but not limited to, lawn care, snow removal, removal of debris from the grounds, and other similar activities. 5. Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing and carpentry tasks, as well as preventive maintenance and general maintenance activities. 6. Be responsible for all equipment, tools, supplies and materials for on-going custodial maintenance and general maintenance activities. 7. Notify the Operations Manager concerning the need for major repairs and assist in scheduling those repairs. 8. Be responsible for cleaning agency vehicles. 9. Take part in any in-service training as offered by the agency as requested. 10. Act in any other capacity as directed by the President/CEO. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent and a demonstrated ability to safely and effectively use cleaning and maintenance methods, equipment and materials. In addition, individual must have an affinity for working with the disabled.
