Our client is a multi-faceted company providing full-service engineering services from start-up to completion phases, including conceptual front-end engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning and start-up phases on small to mid-size projects.

  Job Summary

We’re hiring a Project Engineer to join our home office team. You’ll lead capital project teams across refinery, petrochemical, and pipeline surface station projects, managing 8–12 concurrent projects valued at under $20M each. The role covers front-end development through detailed design and construction, with responsibility for safety, cost, schedule, and overall project delivery. 5–10 years of project engineering/project management experience required

Job Description

• Planning and Design: Involved in the initial planning and design phases, ensuring that all engineering tasks align with project goals and standards.
• Coordination: Act as a bridge between the technical team and project management, coordinating efforts with the client to ensure smooth project execution.
• Execution: Overseeing the implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they meet the proposed scope, quality standards, stay within budget, and adhere to schedule.
• Technical Expertise: Serving as the technical expert, they work closely with the client’s project managers and design teams.
• Problem-Solving: Addressing any technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle and finding effective solutions

Skills Required

• 5–10 years of project engineering/project management experience
• Experience in refinery or petrochemical facilities preferred
• Ability to develop manhour estimates preferred
• Project engineering experience working for an engineering company preferred
• Experience with small to mid-sized projects preferred
• Software proficiency preferred: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Degree or GED
