Senior Accounting Analyst

Responsibilities The Senior Accounting Analyst 2026-01095 serves as the lead role within the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality's accounting analyst group, providing advanced fiscal expertise and technical guidance to administrators and program managers. This position oversees complex fee-based programs, budget development, federal grant administration, and financial forecasting while ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, and federal regulations. The successful candidate will lead internal training for accounting staff, manage agency-wide fiscal oversight, and serve as the primary contact for resolving complex grant and accounting issues. Key Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 1-2 years of progressive finance work experience at the Accounting Analyst level, or 4-6 years with education substitution Experience with the Wyoming Online Financial System (WOLFS) Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Strong financial analysis and Excel skills Knowledge of federal grant applications and financial reporting requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr
