Management & Sales Training Program 2026 (Columbus)

Job Description The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry‑level program designed to prepare candidates for a Store Management role within 18–24 months. The program offers a 44‑hour per week schedule, which may include evenings and weekends. Participants will collaborate with store management to oversee a million‑dollar business, gaining leadership, sales, and operational skills. Successful completion of the initial 8‑week training may lead to an Assistant Store Manager position. Responsibilities Complete training consistent with program objectives. Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability. Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service. Maintain knowledge of all products for effective customer recommendations. Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers. Perform store administration tasks. Ensure compliance with policies, including safety, loss prevention, and security. Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards. Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action. Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints. Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: At least 18 years old. Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship. Valid, unrestricted driver’s license. Minimum bachelor’s degree by the start of the program. Ability to retrieve materials and lift/carry up to 50 lb. frequently and up to 70 lb. occasionally. Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of retail, sales, or customer service experience. At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience. Prior experience in a team‑oriented setting. Experience selling paint or paint‑related products. Experience with time‑keeping and/or customer relationship management systems. Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities. Multilingual communication skills. Spanish language proficiency.
