Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of ultrasound examinations, covering areas such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and specialized imaging of small parts
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, clearly explaining each process with compassion and empathy
• Work in close partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure delivery of high-quality diagnostic images
• Efficiently operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, reporting any technical issues as needed
• Document procedures accurately while maintaining thorough patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ultrasound technologies and best practices in imaging care

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program is preferred

Required Certifications

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent credential
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
