Travel RN - Cath Lab/EPAmerican TravelerAnniston, Alabama, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 2Start date: 2026-10-12T00:00:00.000Z$1,815.81/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a Post Intervention Cath Unit requiring AL state or compact RN licensure and prior cardiac step-down experience.DetailsPost Intervention Cath Unit serving as a step-down from the Cath Lab and overflow from Med-Surg1:4 patient ratioNight shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)Every other weekend requiredRequirementsActive RN license (AL State or Compact)BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience requiredCommunity hospital experience requiredTeaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferredPrevious charge nurse experience preferredExperience with sheath removal, TR band, and pre/post cardiac catheterization care preferredSkills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs requiredExperience with central line, peripheral line, PICC line care, and blood product administration preferredExperience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) requiredKnowledge of heparin protocols requiredExperience with pacemakers (temporary/permanent) preferredInterpretation and management of dysrhythmias preferredExperience with rapid response/code teams preferredWound care/wound vac experience preferredProper use of isolation precautions/PPE preferredAdditional InformationProvide cardiac monitoring and step-down level care for post-intervention cath patientsSupport post cardiac angiogram, post-MI, and post-cardiac surgery patientsAssist with cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia monitoringRequested time off limited to a maximum of 7 daysLocal candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower pay ratePrior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel positionCandidates with a pending license may still be considered
