Hourly rate: negotiable

We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and responsible caregiver to assist elderly residents in our residential care facility.

Schedule: mornings/hours vary, 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and personal care.

Help residents with daily living activities, walking, and mobility.

Provide medication assistance at scheduled times, following resident care plans, facility procedures, and applicable training and authorization.

Prepare and cook meals for residents.

Monitor residents’ health, behavior, and overall well-being, and report changes to the Administrator.

Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.

Perform housekeeping, laundry, and dietary duties as assigned.

Assist residents with personal, social, and recreational activities.

Follow infection-control procedures, first aid practices, and emergency safety guidelines.

Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and individual needs.

Attend required training and complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Criminal record clearance required before working in the facility.

Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities preferred; references required.

Ability to read, write, communicate effectively, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Knowledge of resident care, sanitation, infection control, emergency procedures, and safety practices.

Ability to recognize early signs of illness and notify the appropriate professional.

Willingness to learn and follow resident-care procedures and facility policies.

Knowledge of assisting residents with prescribed medications that they self-administer.

Patient, compassionate, organized, courteous, and professional.

Good judgment, emotional maturity, integrity, and a genuine interest in caring for seniors.

Ability to work respectfully with residents and staff and accept supervision.

Ability to assist residents with mobility and lifting requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds regularly.

Ability to maintain a clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
