Physician Assistant PA

Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) with Emergency Room (ER) and/or Urgent Care experience to join our healthcare team. The PA will provide high-quality medical care, evaluate and treat acute illnesses and injuries, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries * Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations * Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests such as labs, X-rays, and EKGs * Develop and implement treatment plans * Perform minor procedures including suturing, wound care, splinting, incision and drainage, and abscess treatment * Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations * Stabilize and manage emergency medical conditions * Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care * Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) * Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals * Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical protocols * Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Qualifications * Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program * Current Physician Assistant license in the state of practice * NCCPA certification required * DEA registration and prescriptive authority required * Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred * Minimum of 1-2 years of Emergency Room and/or Urgent Care experience preferred * Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills * Experience managing high patient volumes * Proficiency with EMR systems * Strong procedural skills * Excellent bedside manner and communication skills * Ability to work independently with physician support * Trauma or emergency response experience preferred
