Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to support our Flint and Warren hospital locations. The role includes hospital rounding, recording patients' medical histories, performing physical exams, administering diagnostic tests, creating patient care plans, and serving as first assist in neurosurgical and orthopedic surgeries. This position involves some call and weekend duties. Responsibilities Interview and examine patients to determine a diagnosis Performing first assist duties in an operating room Providing pre‑ and post‑op care to surgical patients Hospital rounding on surgical patients and surgical consults Performing physical exams and patient observations Consulting with healthcare professionals and families Order tests to ascertain the nature and extent of illnesses and injuries Administering and analyzing diagnostic tests Monitoring and operating medical equipment Diagnosing health issues Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms Maintain patient records and provide documentation for insurance companies Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed Training patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program Previous experience within the field or a related work environment is preferred RN licensure in the state where employed or a compact party state and board‑certified by either ANCC or AANP APN authorization in the state where employed to practice in family health by the Board of Nurse Examiners Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment is required to perform your work Knowledge of computer‑based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point‑of‑care technology A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of disease prevention Able to work in a fast‑paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy Willingness to participate in goal‑setting and educational activities for professional advancement Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive Able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner Detail‑oriented, conscientious, and committed to precision in work results Ability to perform to a high level of accuracy Benefits for Full‑Time Team Members Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and sick leave 401(k) with matching; contributions vest fully after 3 months of employment, with eligibility to contribute Short‑ and long‑term disability and life term insurance, complementary to full‑time employment Additional supplementary coverages offered at employees' elections: accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, AD&D, etc. Insight is an equal‑opportunity employer and values workplace diversity! #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight
