The Restoration Technician is responsible for performing water, fire, and mold mitigation tasks, ensuring that properties are restored to their pre-loss condition. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in restoration, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Mitigation and Remediation: Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleaning in residential and commercial properties. Set up, monitor, and adjust drying and dehumidification equipment, ensuring optimal performance and drying conditions. Conduct controlled demolition, including the removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation, as necessary. Clean and sanitize affected areas using specialized cleaning agents and tools. Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all activities, including moisture readings, equipment usage, and project progress, using company software. Capture before-and-after photos of affected areas, ensuring proper documentation for insurance purposes. Report project status and issues to the Crew Supervisor or Project Manager in a timely manner. Customer Service and Support: Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, explaining the restoration process and addressing any concerns or questions. Provide updates to clients throughout the project, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with the work being performed. Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with clients during stressful situations. Equipment Maintenance and Safety Compliance: Maintain and clean all equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and longevity. Follow all safety guidelines and company protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management immediately. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in water, fire, or mold restoration preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate. IICRC certifications (e.g., WRT, ASD, FSRT) are a plus but not mandatory. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to work in challenging environments, including those affected by fire, water, and mold damage. Skills and Attributes Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
