Shop Fabricator

Summary As a Shop Fabricator at Kovach, you will play a crucial role in our custom metal fabrication and assembly processes for various commercial construction projects. This position, based in Chandler, Arizona, involves cutting, shearing, bending, drilling, punching, grinding, cleaning, assembly, glazing, and crating. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities On-site Presence: Arrive at the job site promptly at the required start time as indicated by the Supervisor. Quality Assurance: Regularly review the work completed to ensure it meets Kovach's high-quality standards. Demonstrate precision and attention to detail, reading tape measures to 1/16" increments. Fit materials accurately and square when necessary. Safety and Communication: Strictly adhere to Kovach's safety protocols and job site-specific requirements. Immediately communicate any safety concerns or limitations to the Supervisor. Injury Reporting: In the event of an injury on-site, report it without delay to the Supervisor. Problem Identification: Proactively identify and report potential problems or challenges to the Supervisor. Team Collaboration: Ensure the well-being of fellow employees on-site, promoting a team-centric environment. Continuous Learning: Demonstrate initiative in the tasks performed and continually seek to grow in knowledge and understanding of the Kovach scope of work.
