Maintenance Technician

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general building equipment. This is a first-shift position focused on maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient facility environment while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Experience performing building, facilities, industrial, or commercial maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment
  • Working knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, work order systems, equipment inspections, and safety compliance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair building systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility equipment
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, maintenance teams, and facility personnel to complete maintenance activities
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, maintenance manuals, equipment records, drawings, and work instructions
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to accurately complete work orders, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and status updates.
  • Willingness to support emergency maintenance needs and facility issues as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with IBM Maximo or a similar CMMS/EAM maintenance management system.
  • Maintenance-related certifications such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, facilities maintenance, OSHA, or similar technical certifications.
  • Experience working with OEM service providers, outside contractors, and facility vendors.
  • Experience maintaining industrial facilities, aerospace facilities, manufacturing plants, utilities, or other high-reliability environments.

This is a Permanent position based out of West Lafayette, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
