Our Children’s Services Department continuously develops and enhances programs for families in the community. We are hiring a Teen Resiliency Program (TRP) Behavior Management Specialist at our Tempe location. This role focuses on direct support with a strong emphasis on behavior management for adolescents and families in homes, schools, and the community. The position is a self‑starter, works well within a team, and requires a flexible schedule. Facilitating groups that assist adolescents toward independent living and healthy community activities. Providing behavior management support and parent partnering/education. Collaborating with the Child and Family Team and other systems consistent with the Arizona Vision/12 principles. Adhering to deadlines, medical records compliance, and performance requirements. Transporting up to 7 youth at a time and attending community events as required. Working evening hours as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required. BHT level as stipulated by AZDHS/BHS preferred. Experience working with at‑risk adolescents preferred. Minimum of one year prior experience in an applicable or relevant setting. Knowledge of behavior management techniques. Ability to facilitate meetings and groups with community members, families, and teens. Experience with children in DCS care and knowledge of the RBHA child system preferred. Experience assisting teens with independent living skills and transition to adulthood preferred. Experience working with multiple systems and children/families in crisis. Teen substance abuse experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Excellent time‑management skills and ability to meet deadlines and complete documentation on time. Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one. Valid AZ driver’s license with no major infractions in the past three years. Regular access to reliable transportation. Bi‑lingual (Spanish) preferred. Minimum age 21 years at time of employment.
