About the Role: The Hotel Laundry Attendant at Holiday Inn Express Charlottesville plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation standards of the hotel by efficiently managing all laundry operations. This position ensures that all linens, towels, and guest laundry are cleaned, dried, folded, and delivered promptly to support the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction and comfort. The attendant will operate commercial laundry equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Attention to detail and time management are essential to handle high volumes of laundry while maintaining quality standards. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the overall guest experience by ensuring that all laundry items meet the hotel's quality expectations consistently. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Basic understanding of laundry processes and stain removal techniques. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a hotel or commercial laundry environment. Knowledge of health and safety standards related to laundry operations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members. Responsibilities: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and guest laundry according to hotel standards. Operate and maintain commercial laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and pressing equipment, ensuring proper use and safety. Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to management for appropriate action. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to comply with health and safety regulations. Coordinate with housekeeping and front desk teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of clean linens and guest laundry services. Skills: The required skills such as operating commercial laundry machines and understanding laundry processes are used daily to ensure efficient and safe handling of all laundry tasks. Physical stamina and attention to detail help the attendant manage large volumes of linens while maintaining quality standards.
