Sandblast / Prep / Paint Technician We are hiring immediately for an experienced Sandblast/Prep/Paint Technician to join our production team. This is a fast-moving opportunity for candidates who are dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to hit the ground running. Interviews are conducted in person and the right candidate can start as soon as compliance is cleared.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare equipment surfaces for painting through sandblasting, hand sanding, taping, and pneumatic sanding or grinding
- Mix and prepare paint equipment and two-part epoxy paint per specifications
- Apply primer and paint to equipment per engineering specs
- Move materials and equipment to staging areas using an overhead crane
- Cross-train in other production areas as needed to support manufacturing schedules
- Assist with general plant housekeeping including sweeping, trash removal, and proper chemical storage
- Follow all company safety and environmental policies and report any injuries or safety concerns immediately
Requirements:
- Previous sandblasting experience required and must be reflected on resume
- Previous experience with two-part epoxy paint required and must be reflected on resume
- Ability to operate an overhead crane
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training during the first two to three weeks
- Able to stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours daily
- Flexible availability including overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility
- Punctual, reliable, and highly detail-oriented
