Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, BSN Must-Have: Must have a BSN. Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications. Must be comfortable with pediatric patients. Must have EPIC EMR experience. Must provide availability for 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule. Description: Candidates must have experience in handling a variety of patient conditions, including trauma and behavioral health issues. Experience in a teaching facility is preferred. Prior travel nursing experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered. Candidates should be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and care of ventilated patients. The unit provides care for neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 110% with about 180 visits per day. The facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center and offers a comprehensive range of emergency services. Special procedures include treatment for chest pain, stroke, trauma, and various medical emergencies. Candidates are expected to adhere to specified time off requests and not exceed the allotted number of days.
