Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: North Charleston, SC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: The schedule includes 3 - 12 hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and holidays required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the ICU will be responsible for providing care for critically ill patients in a mixed 28-bed ICU unit. The role requires proficiency in managing patients on ventilators and caring for 1-3 ICU patients at a time, with an emphasis on advanced hemodynamic monitoring and neuro procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside shift report during patient handoffs.
• Administer breathing treatments, including inhalers and nebulizers.
• Perform advanced procedures such as CRRT and swan ganz catheter placement.
• Manage post-operative care for CABG patients and other critical cases.
• Utilize expert telemetry skills to interpret cardiac data.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 36 months RN experience, including at least 1 year in an ICU setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience, preferably in a facility using Meditech.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Preferred: BSN and advanced certifications such as TNCC.
