This role is essential to delivering efficient, high-quality care and a positive patient experience. You will work chairside with the dentist, ensure clinical areas are fully prepared, and help keep daily operations running smoothly. The right candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident in both clinical and patient-facing responsibilities. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and contribute to a team environment that prioritizes excellent care and professionalism. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and escort them to treatment rooms Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visit Review procedures and post-op instructions, answering patient questions clearly Take and update medical histories and vital signs accurately Set up, break down, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments according to protocol Provide chairside assistance during exams and procedures Maintain strict infection control and OSHA compliance standards Take dental radiographs (as permitted) Support front office tasks, including scheduling and charting, as needed Qualifications Associates degree from a CODA-accredited dental assisting program (or equivalent experience where applicable) Current Mississippi Radiology Permit Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control standards Strong computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management software Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities Professional, team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on patient care
