Construction Survey Manager

HGA

HGA is seeking a Construction Survey Manager to support operations in Monroe, LA . The Construction Survey Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of surveying projects related to industrial construction stake-out and as-built initiatives. This role combines technical management with client-facing responsibilities, including business development. The Construction Survey Manager will oversee field crews and office staff, ensure high-quality deliverables, and build strong client relationships to support the firm's growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Survey Management

Lead and manage survey teams, including field crews and office staff.
Oversee scheduling, project budgeting, and resource allocation.
Review and ensure accuracy of stake-out data and other deliverables.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and safety standards.
Provide technical expertise in topographic and construction surveys.

Business Development

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
Identify opportunities to expand industrial construction surveying services within the engineering firm's client base.
Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and project scopes.
Collaborate with business development and engineering teams to cross-sell services.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor and train junior survey staff to grow technical and professional skills.
Collaborate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field (preferred).
Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred.
7+ years of experience in land surveying, with at least 3 in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS, total stations, and related technology.
Proven track record of developing client relationships and securing work.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
